Erica Reaves is a research analyst at The Hilltop Institute. She coordinates development of the Maryland Money Follows the Person web-based tracking system and provides research and analytical support on Medicaid home and community-based waivers and long-term care system transformation.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Reaves was a research assistant at Hilltop, providing research support in the long-term supports and services unit for the Maryland Medicaid program, the New Mexico Human Services Department, and other clients. Ms. Reaves, whose background is in biomedical research, participated in undergraduate summer internship programs at Lancaster University (UK), Howard Hughes Medical Institute at UC-Boulder, Abbott Laboratories, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In addition, Ms. Reaves participated in the National Institutes of Health's Minority Access to Research Careers - Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research (MARC U*STAR) Program.
Ms. Reaves obtained a B.S. in biological sciences from UMBC and is a graduate of the Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Scholarship Program. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in health policy at UMBC.
